A LARGER SPACE TO SERVE YOU BETTER
Our Airport Terminal Expansion is All About Elevating Your Experience
The Portsmouth International Airport at Pease has been growing continuously over the past decade, and the time has come to expand the size and service of our terminal to better serve our passengers.
TARMAC DELAY CONTINGENCY PLAN
Our goal is to improve the overall passenger experience from the moment of arrival, whether you’re taking off or landing here.
TERMINAL EXPANSION & RUNWAY PROJECT UPDATE (2/7/23)
The first phase of the terminal expansion is complete! The building has several new amenities to make the traveling public’s experience more enjoyable. The terminal expansion features floor-to-ceiling electrochromic glass windows, an innovative technology from SageGlass that manages brightness and glare by automatically tinting the windows based on the location of the sun. The Airside Cafe is complete, featuring food and beverages made fresh by Great Circle Catering. We have also added various amenities to make PSM more accessible, including a Service Animal Relief Area (SARA) and a Lactation Room!
HALL EXPANSION & IMPROVEMENTS
Portsmouth International Airport (PSM) has been awarded $7M in federal grant funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to assist with phase two of the terminal expansion for our new 5,200 square foot terminal arrivals hall. The expansion will improve our arrivals capacity, alleviating current congestion, increasing accessibility, and supporting future growth at the airport. This project will also include the replacement of our 65 year old outdated electric services, add LED lighting throughout the terminal, and create more windows to maximize natural light, all of which combine to help make our airport become more energy efficient. Additional improvements will include a redesigned baggage claim area and the relocation of rental car counters, parking kiosks, and information and customer service booths.
Phase 2 will be breaking ground in the Spring of 2023! Stay tuned for progress pictures and more!
